THE BLACK MANTIS
TATTOO & PIERCING

SERVICE, QUALITY AND 100% CUSTOM WORK

The Black Mantis provides a professional, but comfortable enviorment for people who are trying to make their first steps into the world of skin and ink, veterans who have more ink than skin and everything in between.

The Black Mantis is the brainchild of Jamie, Regina & Ash. This year (august 2019) they will open the doors for The Black Mantis. After 10 great years working for Eldasa Tattoo & Piercing, it was time for a change. SO! Still the same location, same great artists and quality and always a cup of coffee waiting when you walk into the shop.

We are just getting started, but we already want to thank an amazing community, family and friends for their support. We’re well on our way.

“I’ve always been drawn to the idea that everyone can be unique. The purist expression of this for me is through tattoos. In order to achieve this I’ve always found it important to work closely with my clients all the way from an idea, through to a design on paper and ultimately onto my clients skin.”
Jamie F. (Realistic work, lettering and collage)

“Tattooing is my life! From the whole process of drawing, stenciling and making a design come to life on the skin! Give me those curly flowers, insects or dark imagery and I can go all day and night.”
– Regina S. (Illustrative blackwork, flora and fauna, animals and dark atmospheric themes)

“In my opinion you can never go wrong with traditional work. There is something beautifull and mesmerizing in bold lines, a basic set of colors and the simplistic look and feel in styles like old school Americana or traditional Japanese… ”
– Ash V. (old school Americana, traditional Japanese & graphic designs)

ALLROUND WORK

FROM AMERICANA TO GRAPHICAL.

A tattoo is a form of body modification where a design is made by inserting ink, dyes and pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment. The art of making tattoos is called tattooing.

Tattoos fall into three broad categories: purely decorative (with no specific meaning); symbolic (with a specific meaning pertinent to the wearer); pictorial (a depiction of a specific person or item).
